                                                                              Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with a comprehensive education in pharmacy. The program is divided into eight semesters and aims to build a strong foundation in all aspects of pharmacy. Students learn about drug development, manufacturing, distribution, and medication management. They also study the properties and impacts of medicines, and develop the skills needed to counsel patients about their use. The program covers a wide range of topics, such as, Human anatomy and physiology, Pharmaceutical analysis, Medicinal chemistry, Industrial pharmacy, Pharmacology, Herbal drug technology, Biochemical science, Health care. One of the main duties of a B. Pharm. professional is to have knowledge of health care and biomedical science as well as the skills to forecast the nature of medications and evaluate such medicines for the betterment of mankind.

According to the B. Pharm. curriculum, students will learn the particulars of medications and their effects on the body, as well as an understanding of the chemical and organic characteristics of every component used. Program is designed to prepare students for a variety of roles the pharmaceutical industry, including research, development, and academia. It also provides many job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Some career options such as Pharmacist, Health inspector, Drug inspector, researcher, Research and development expert, Hospital drug controller , Chemical technician and the  eligible for the B. Pharm program, students must pass their 10+2 board exams with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and have studied certain subjects at the higher secondary level, such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.
